I just want to say kudos to you for using your creativity to make these cute literacy bags! I'm sure your class loved them! How have they held up? I'm a pre-service teacher who loves to sew and craft, so I've been thinking of making tote bags to eventually decorate for literacy bags when I have my own classroom. What items do you place in the bags along with a book? Has management been difficult? If you have any websites to share with ideas on literacy bags, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks!
They are supposed to be used as send home bags. However, I spent so much time on them that I didn't send them home. They are used in class. There's a book in them with activities to complete. They hold up pretty good. The paint wears after lots of use.
